Belia Gonzalez brings unmatched grit, global experience, and a mission-first focus to the National Security Law Firm’s powerhouse legal team. A former active-duty Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) in the U.S. Army and current Army Reservist, Belia has served on the front lines of Military Justice, National Security Law, and high-stakes criminal investigations worldwide.
Belia launched her legal career in South Korea, where she played a key role in military justice cases while supporting national security operations during real-time wartime readiness exercises. Her sharp legal instincts and leadership quickly propelled her to a pivotal position with the 1st Armored Division, where she ran an entire division legal office—solo. Her ability to lead under pressure earned her a promotion and continued recognition across the Army JAG Corps.
At Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Belia supported high-profile investigations as a paralegal with the Criminal Investigative Division and later led a legal assistance office serving over 100,000 soldiers and family members annually. Her next assignment solidified her legacy: she was hand-selected to become one of the first paralegals with the U.S. Military’s newly established Office of Special Trial Counsel—where she drafted the foundational policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) still used Army-wide today.
Belia holds an associate degree from her local community college and a Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso. Her unique blend of military insight, investigative precision, and legal leadership make her an essential asset in NSLF’s mission to defend service members, veterans, and federal employees.
When she’s not helping clients navigate legal battles, Belia enjoys long walks with her husband and dog, practicing yoga, and diving into a good book.
