This flat fee includes everything you need to complete your legal name change in New Jersey—no hidden charges.

Included in the $1,695 fee:

• Drafting and filing of your Verified Complaint for Name Change

• All court filing fees

• Motion to waive newspaper publication (automatically included—publication is no longer required in NJ)

• Certified mail service to required government agencies

• Representation at your court hearing (typically held via Zoom but sometimes in person is required)

• Assistance updating your Social Security, DMV, and passport records post-judgment

👶 Minor Name Change

✅ Uncontested Minor Name Change – $1,695 Flat Fee

Includes all services listed above, plus:

• Service on the non-custodial parent

• Strategic preparation and filing on behalf of the child’s parent or guardian

• Representation at hearing (if required)

⚠️ Contested Minor Name Change – $3,500 Flat Fee

If the other parent objects, the case becomes contested and requires legal briefing, court strategy, and potentially multiple hearings.

Included in the $3,500 fee:

• All court filings, service, and certified mail

• Strategic legal preparation of your case

• Briefing on “best interests of the child” standard

• Representation at the contested hearing

• Communication with opposing counsel (if applicable)

🔍 Complex or high-conflict cases involving custody issues may require additional fees. We’ll review your case and explain all costs before you retain us.
