Military & Federal Employment Law Attorney
Former Army Judge Advocate, Commander Advisor, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, and Special Victims’ Counsel
Christopher Rittenhouse has spent his career advising military leaders, representing individuals, and navigating the investigations, personnel actions, and legal proceedings that can alter a person’s career, reputation, and future.
Before joining National Security Law Firm, Chris served as an Army Judge Advocate in a variety of leadership and legal positions, advising commanders and senior leaders on investigations, military justice matters, administrative actions, personnel issues, regulatory compliance, and operational law. His service included domestic mobilizations and overseas deployments supporting military operations in the Middle East, where he worked closely with decision-makers responsible for addressing complex legal and personnel matters in high-pressure environments.
In addition to his military service, Chris served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the State of Arkansas, where he litigated criminal cases, evidentiary hearings, probation revocations, and other contested matters. He later served as a Special Victims’ Counsel, representing victims navigating both military and civilian legal systems. These experiences provided him with a unique understanding of how investigations are conducted, how evidence is evaluated, how credibility is assessed, and how government officials make decisions that affect the lives and careers of those involved.
Chris’s experience gives clients valuable insight into the processes that often drive military and federal employment cases. Having advised commanders, worked alongside investigators, prosecuted cases, and represented individuals facing significant challenges, he understands how allegations evolve into investigations, how investigations become personnel actions, and what strategies are most effective in protecting a client’s career, reputation, security clearance, and future opportunities.
Today, Chris represents service members, federal employees, contractors, and applicants facing military justice matters, federal employment issues, administrative investigations, adverse personnel actions, security-related concerns, and other cases involving government decision-making and professional risk.
