Jennifer Kerby joined the National Security Law Firm in February 2025 as an Immigration Law Attorney. Ms. Kerby is an experienced adjudicator with 22 years of federal government service, twenty years of which is in the field of immigration law. Prior to joining NSLF, Ms. Kerby was honored to be appointed and serve as an Immigration Judge with the Executive Office for Immigration Review at the Falls Church Immigration Adjudication Center from 2023 to 2025. She presided over and adjudicated close to 1,000 removal merits hearings, credible and reasonable fear reviews, and motions.
Before being appointed to the bench, Ms. Kerby spent 18 years with the Board of Immigration Appeals as an Attorney Advisor, recommending final decisions for more than 2,700 appeals of Immigration Court and USCIS decisions for the highest agency in the federal government authorized to interpret immigration laws. From 2002 to 2004, Ms. Kerby was appointed to and served a two-year term as an at-large staff attorney/law clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Ms. Kerby received her Juris Doctor and graduated cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law in 2002. She obtained her Master of Education in Higher Education and Counseling and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia in 1995 and 1991, respectively. Before law school, Ms. Kerby worked in college student affairs at the Universities of Georgia, Mary Washington, Miami, and Virginia.
Ms. Kerby is a member of the Georgia and Virginia State Bars and also is a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar. She is an avid domestic and international traveler.
