Sean Rogers

Senior Attorney | Security Clearance Practice

Former Army Judge Advocate, Lieutenant Colonel, Military Prosecutor, Military Defense Counsel, and Army Special Victim Prosecutor

Sean Rogers spent nearly two decades inside the military justice system, representing service members, prosecuting serious criminal offenses, advising military leaders, and helping guide decisions that affected careers, security clearances, military service, and future opportunities before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Throughout his military career, Sean served as both a prosecutor and defense counsel, handling complex matters involving fraud, financial misconduct, sexual assault allegations, violent crime, homicide, and other serious offenses. He represented service members throughout Korea and the Pacific region, prosecuted cases in Europe, and later served as an Army Special Victim Prosecutor responsible for handling highly sensitive and complex matters. These experiences provided him with extensive courtroom experience and firsthand insight into how military authorities investigate allegations, evaluate evidence, assess credibility, and make decisions.

Sean’s experience gives clients a unique understanding of how military investigations unfold, how prosecutors build cases, how commanders assess risk, and how legal and administrative actions are evaluated within the military. Having served on both sides of the courtroom and advised military leaders throughout his career, he understands how allegations evolve into investigations, how investigations become administrative or disciplinary actions, and what strategies are most effective in protecting a client’s career, reputation, military service, and future.

In addition to his military justice experience, Sean advised senior decision-makers on administrative law, national security matters, intelligence-related issues, regulatory compliance, and government operations. His background allows him to help clients navigate not only the legal issues involved in a case, but also the broader decision-making processes that often accompany security clearance concerns, military administrative actions, investigations, and other high-stakes matters.

Today, Sean represents service members, veterans, federal employees, and contractors facing military justice matters, security clearance concerns, administrative actions, investigations, and other cases involving government trust and risk determinations. His combination of prosecution, defense, leadership, and national security experience allows him to provide clients with practical guidance informed by decades of service inside the military justice system.
