Emilia DiSanto brings more than three decades of experience overseeing investigations, advising senior government leaders, directing oversight initiatives, and helping shape policy at the highest levels of the federal government.
Throughout her career, Emilia served in senior leadership positions across both the legislative and executive branches, providing strategic guidance on government accountability, investigations, regulatory oversight, organizational leadership, and public policy. Her unique experience working inside Congress, Inspector General offices, and federal agencies gives her a rare understanding of how government institutions make decisions, conduct investigations, evaluate risk, and exercise oversight.
Emilia spent sixteen years on Capitol Hill serving under a former Speaker of the House and multiple Congressional Committee Chairmen. Her leadership roles included Staff Director of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Chief Investigative Counsel for the Senate Special Committee on Aging, where she directed complex investigations and oversight initiatives involving matters of significant public interest and government accountability.
She later spent seventeen years in senior Executive Branch leadership positions, including service as Deputy Inspector General at the U.S. Department of State and Chief of Staff at the Federal Housing Finance Agency. In these roles, she helped oversee investigations, audits, compliance initiatives, organizational strategy, and agency operations while advising senior leaders on matters involving risk, accountability, and governmental integrity.
Today, Emilia serves as Executive Vice President of Venn Strategies, where she advises organizations navigating complex legislative, regulatory, and public policy environments. Known for her bipartisan relationships, strategic insight, and investigative background, she remains a trusted advisor to leaders operating at the intersection of government, regulation, and public affairs.
Emilia’s experience strengthens National Security Law Firm’s understanding of government oversight, investigations, regulatory compliance, organizational risk, and institutional decision-making. Her perspective helps inform the firm’s approach to the complex federal, national security, and government-related matters that frequently affect NSLF clients.
