Retired Army Colonel, Former Senior Military Intelligence Leader, National Security Strategist, and Intelligence Advisor
James C. “Jamey” Royse brings more than three decades of military intelligence, national security, special operations, cyber, and strategic leadership experience to National Security Law Firm’s Advisory Board.
A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Jamey retired from the United States Army as a Colonel after more than thirty years of active-duty service. Throughout his career, he commanded intelligence organizations, advised senior military leaders, directed intelligence operations, and helped shape national security strategy across the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Afghanistan.
His leadership assignments included command of military intelligence organizations at multiple levels, service as Intelligence Director for Joint Special Operations Task Force Philippines, senior intelligence leadership roles supporting combat operations in Afghanistan, and operational leadership within the National Security Agency’s cryptologic and cyber enterprise. He later served as Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence at U.S. Army Central and as Chief of the Army Hard Target Strategies Division, where he worked closely with the intelligence community on some of the nation’s most complex and enduring intelligence challenges.
Following military retirement, Jamey continued supporting national security initiatives through senior advisory and consulting roles focused on intelligence modernization, cyber operations, strategic planning, and government mission support. He currently serves as a Senior Solution Design Consultant and Intelligence Subject Matter Expert for CACI International and serves on the Board of GlassWall Support Services, Inc.
Jamey’s experience provides National Security Law Firm with a unique perspective on intelligence operations, national security strategy, risk assessment, cyber operations, and government decision-making. Having spent decades advising leaders responsible for some of the nation’s most sensitive missions, he brings insight into the complex intelligence and security issues that frequently intersect with the firm’s military, federal, security clearance, and national security practices.
