Sean RogersSean Rogers has extensive litigation experience in all aspects of judge-alone and jury trials, both as a prosecutor and a defense attorney.  He has consistently gotten the best results for his clients through tireless case preparation and outperforming the opposing party with superior mastery of the facts, the law, and the rules of court.  He gained his litigation expertise handling complex cases with voluminous records and myriad legal issues from larceny and fraud to sexual assault and homicide.

In his early military experience, Sean served in law enforcement, physical security, and antiterror duties as an enlisted Army Reserve Military Policeman and an Air National Guard Security Forces member.  The 2001 attacks on the U.S. pulled Sean out of his first semester of law school into active service around the country and abroad.  Though he returned to law school two years later and received his Juris Doctorate in 2006, Sean was not finished wearing a uniform.  He commissioned in the Army JAG Corps and served almost two decades, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

As a military lawyer, Sean provided zealous representation for criminal defendants throughout Korea and the rest of the Pacific Rim Region.  Equally comfortable on the other side of the courtroom, he prosecuted cases throughout Germany, earning a reputation for winning that saw him selected as one of only two dozen worldwide Army Special Victim Prosecutors, handling a ten-state region from his offices in Fort Riley and Fort Leavenworth.  In this role, Sean continued to broaden his experience in motions practice, plea negotiations, jury selection, and examining lay and expert witnesses.

Sean has completed externships at two civilian prosecution offices, and taken U.S. Army and Air Force training courses in all levels of trial advocacy, as well as courses in administrative and regulatory law, intelligence law, cyber law, and Defense Support of Civil Authorities. He has broad experience advising key decision-makers in all areas of legal practice, including national security issues.  Sean has served in leadership positions throughout the Army JAG Corps, and has mentored and developed dozens of lawyers and paralegals along the way.

Sean earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University, and his law degree from the University of Richmond.  He is admitted to practice in Virginia.
