Build a Career Supporting Military and Federal Law Matters Nationwide

Are you searching for a remote federal paralegal job where you can work on meaningful, complex legal matters involving military law, federal employment, security clearances, administrative appeals, and government investigations?

National Security Law Firm (NSLF) is a national law firm focused exclusively on military, federal, and national security-related legal matters. Founded in 2017, we serve clients in all 50 states through a fully remote practice model.

Our team includes approximately 30 professionals, including 15 attorneys and 15 paralegals and legal support staff. As demand for our services continues to grow, we are actively seeking talented paralegals who want to develop specialized experience in military and federal legal practice.

For paralegals interested in government-related legal work, this is a unique opportunity to build expertise in practice areas rarely found together in a traditional law firm.

Why Federal Paralegals Choose NSLF

Work on Highly Specialized Federal Matters

Most law firms focus on a single practice area or geographic market.

NSLF is different.

Our paralegals support attorneys handling matters involving:

  • Security clearance denials and revocations
  • Federal employment disputes
  • MSPB appeals
  • Military discharge upgrades
  • Military records correction cases
  • Federal investigations
  • Government credentialing matters
  • Administrative appeals
  • National security-related legal matters

This allows paralegals to develop highly specialized experience while working on matters that often have significant career and life consequences for our clients.

A Natural Fit for Military and Government Experience

We highly value applicants who understand government systems, military culture, administrative processes, and federal agencies.

Experience in any of the following may be particularly valuable:

  • Military service
  • Federal agencies
  • Department of Defense
  • Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Department of Homeland Security
  • Administrative law
  • Government investigations
  • Labor and employment matters
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Litigation support

While prior military or government experience is not required, many professionals with these backgrounds find our work especially rewarding.

Meaningful Client Impact

Our clients often come to us during critical moments in their careers.

Paralegals help attorneys assist:

  • Military service members
  • Veterans
  • Federal employees
  • Security clearance holders
  • Government contractors
  • Law enforcement applicants
  • Individuals facing investigations
  • Professionals seeking to protect careers and credentials

The work is substantive, challenging, and often life-changing for the individuals we represent.

Fully Remote Federal Law Practice

NSLF has operated as a fully remote law firm since its founding.

Our team works throughout the United States while serving clients nationwide.

This allows paralegals to build specialized military and federal law experience without relocating to Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, or other traditional government-law markets.

Candidates exploring broader Work From Home Legal Jobs may also find opportunities throughout the firm.

Work Alongside Experienced Attorneys

Our legal team includes former military judges, former JAG officers, former federal agency attorneys, former prosecutors, and experienced civilian practitioners.

Paralegals work directly with attorneys handling sophisticated federal and military legal matters while gaining valuable professional experience and mentorship.

For candidates interested in becoming more involved in complex federal legal practice, this level of attorney interaction can provide exceptional career development opportunities.

Strong Support and Collaboration

Although our team works remotely, collaboration is a core part of our culture.

Paralegals regularly work with:

  • Attorneys
  • Intake specialists
  • Administrative staff
  • Marketing personnel
  • Firm leadership

We believe strong communication and teamwork produce the best outcomes for our clients.
